THE ALPINE LIFE COLLECTION

Mountain life lies in the details. It lies in becoming attuned with the elements, the rocks and the woods. With the rays of sunlight that warm the skin and soul. It lies in connecting with ourselves and with others, because light can also be found there, in their eyes and embraces.

The Alpine Life Collection pays homage to all these essential, simple and yet so precious moments of our experiences in the mountains.

Light up the Mountain, Live the Mountain.

THE SECRET LANGUAGE OF NATURE

The artist Mirijam Heiler uses 20 needles like letters of a secret alphabet. The constant repetition of these simplest, geometric shapes would be indefinitely expandable. The repetition is a key element in the graphic and is used as parallelism with life. Repetitions for humans like mantras lead to relaxation and give us strength.

A secret poem of nature. A piece of a winter forest floor is found in the poem. Larch and alpine pine needles are arranged in the form of a poem to formulate small messages. But these remain indecipherable, just as the language of nature remains a mystery. It is an attempt to familiarize ourselves with the language of nature.

We can familiarize ourselves with the language of nature and learn to observe, to read and to understand it going back to our origin. We need to get into the mood of nature to understand who we are, where we come from, how we can live together with nature.

On the mountain, we are radically reduced to our originality and simplicity. The mountain asks us to approach it without everything that is superfluous - to shed weight and engage in digital detox.

Humbly engaging in this experience of nature is rewarded with such awe which can be mind-altering.

“WE NEED TO GET INTO THE MOOD OF NATURE TO UNDERSTAND WHO WE ARE, WHERE WE COME FROM, HOW WE CAN LIVE TOGETHER WITH HER.”
